David Browning

David Browning took his PhD in Birmingham University in 1975 with research on `Investigation of the effects of atmospheric hydrometeors upon earth-space radio propagation at millimetre wavelengths.'

He worked at ERA Technology Limited on computer modelling including

  1. Modelling of effects of clutter upon airborne radar peformance.
  2. Development of bistatic clutter airborne radar software.
  3. Design and analysis of microwave reflector antennas.

He then moved to the oil industry where he gained considerable experience in writing very large simulation programs in a variety of languages and for a number of operating systems. He now works as a consultant to the radar and oil industries.

David Browning is a director of Antenna Software Limited.
