ALDAS COUPLING Coupling between two antennas on or near the same structure may be calculated using ALDAS. The two antennas may be placed anywhere, on or off the structure. The computation provides signal into the second antenna and also field strength on the basis of an isotropic receiver. The computations are carried out over a frequency range specified by the user.
An example of the coupling between two dipoles on either side of a cylinder (Figure 1) and separated by 10.0m is shown in Figure 2. Figure 3 shows a comparison of coupling between two monopoles on the under fuselage of an F-4 as determined by ALDAS and three other methods.
